We are experts in Laser tattoo removal with over a decade and a half experience. We are highly regarded within the industry for using medical grade multi-wavelength technology & advanced techniques.
We are able to target ALL treatable colours utilising our Quanta multi-wavelength Lasers along with our advanced techniques to remove tattoos quicker with less side effects.
(See separate section on our ‘Super Shatter’ technique)
This is the most common type of tattoo done by a professional tattoo artist, typically with a tattoo machine or professional artist who specialises in stick & poke technique.
Typically, Indian ink, although other materials are used, such as pen ink & charcoal inserted into the skin by a single needle.
Typical self-done or by someone with little/no tattooing experience.
Scalp micro pigmentation, eyebrows, lipliner, typically done by a cosmetologist. We do not treat eyeliner tattoos.
Acquired through traumatic injury such as piercings, skin abrasions or where dirt or debris has become embedded into the skin.
Camouflage tattoos - these are often applied to disguise a scar, stretch marks or tattoos. This type of tattoo can be extremely difficult to treat although we have had some success on fading this type of tattoo.
Radiotherapy mark tattoos placed to typically mark the site of radiation therapy - we remove these for FREE. See our section on Radiotherapy marks.
We are able to target all ‘treatable’ colours of ink with our medical Quanta Lasers which have 3 true wavelengths allowing us to treat most colours of ink effectively.
Colours which can be very difficult to target with laser are yellows, flesh tones and white.
Each tattoo and individual responds differently to treatment,
If you are wanting tattoo ‘lightening’ to have a new cover up tattoo this typically takes between 1-4 sessions.
For as much removal as possible we estimate -
Black & red coloured inks typically 6–12 sessions, green & blue can sometimes require more treatment.
Results depend on many factors including, ink colour, location of the tattoo, ink depth, your medical history and individual response to name a few!
Our mantra with tattoo removal is “ the longer you leave the better “
We understand everyone wants results as soon as possible but Laser tattoo removal takes time & patience.
We suggest a ‘minimum’ of 6 weeks between treatments but advise longer to help your body effectively breakdown the shattered ink particles and aid proper skin recovery.
After treatment the area is likely to feel tender, similar to sun burn and can be red and swollen for a number of days.
Swelling, bruising, blisters and pinpoint bleeding can occur in some tattoos which can take around 2 weeks to heal.
Very rarely the skin may get a pigmentation change and become lighter or darker, a change to skin texture and scarring is possible, (a risk with any Laser treatment) though uncommon, and is more likely if aftercare is not followed.
There may be loss of the natural tanning ability in the area treated, which usually improves with time.
Most people are suitable for laser tattoo removal, but we advise you to contact us prior to booking a consultation if you have / or have had, any medial issues or take any medications.
We take client safety extremely seriously and may ask for a Doctors/Dermatologist letter as confirmation you are suitable for treatment.
A compulsory consultation and patch test are carried out prior to treatment to determine your suitability.
This is a test of the laser on the actual tattoo to ensure you have no adverse reactions to treatment. We wait a few days to a week to commencing your first session.
Please note- the area must be tan free for 4 weeks before or after any laser treatment.
Patch tests are compulsory even if you have had previous treatment elsewhere.
Not all lasers, clinics or protocols are the same and we take client safety extremely importantly.
Unfortunately no one can guarantee 100% removal of any tattoo- although we do get some amazing results! Some people can be left with residual scar tissue from the original tattooing process or a slight ghosting effect of the tattoo.
Results greatly depend on multiple factors including - your age, the tattoos age, the colour of ink, the location of ink , your health and lifestyle choices to name a few!
When performed correctly by qualified, experienced technicians, using medical grade technology and after care is followed scarring is uncommon. (However with any Laser treatment there is a risk).
Prices are determined by size, colour and location of the tattoo.
We price tattoos individually after a consultation and patch test. We also offer discounts for multiple tattoos treated in the same session (if possible, as we can only target a certain amount of ink during a single session).
Large or heavily saturated tattoos will need breaking into separate sections - this will be discussed during your consultation.
An approximate price guide below - Individual prices will be given during or after your consultation and patch test.
